What LGBTG is

LGBTG is a Christian outreach intended to share the Gospel, Christian testimony, biblical encouragement and prayer.

What LGBTG is not

LGBTG is not an emergency service, medical service, mental-health service, legal service or substitute for professional safeguarding organisations. Prayer and Christian encouragement should not be presented as replacements for appropriate professional help.

If someone is in immediate danger

If you or another person is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency services rather than waiting for a response from this website.

Children and vulnerable people

Children and vulnerable adults should never be encouraged to send unnecessary identifying details, private photographs, addresses or other sensitive information. Messages suggesting abuse, exploitation or immediate danger must be treated seriously and not as ordinary prayer correspondence.

Prayer requests and confidentiality

We should never promise absolute secrecy. Information should normally be kept private, but there may be circumstances where a serious safeguarding concern means appropriate action is necessary.

Testimonies

No person's testimony, photograph or identifying information should be published without permission. Extra care should be taken where a story identifies children, abuse survivors or other vulnerable people.

Healthy ministry boundaries

LGBTG should point people toward Christ and encourage connection with a faithful local church. Online correspondence should maintain appropriate boundaries and should not create dependency on one individual or this website.
