THE GOOD NEWS

The Gospel

The centre of Christianity is not “be good enough.” It is what God has done for us through Jesus Christ.

THE MESSAGE

God made us for Himself.

Christianity begins with God. He is holy, loving, just and the giver of life. We were made to know Him, worship Him and live in relationship with Him.

Sin separates us from God.

Every one of us has sinned. Sin is more than mistakes or imperfections; it is our rebellion against God in thought, desire and action. We cannot repair that separation by becoming religious enough or by trying to outweigh the bad with good.

Jesus came to save.

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, entered our world, lived without sin and willingly gave His life on the cross. He bore the judgment sinners deserve and rose bodily from the dead. The resurrection means the cross was not defeat. Christ is alive.

Salvation is received, not earned.

We are called to repent and believe the Gospel—to turn from sin and place our trust in Jesus Christ. Salvation is a gift of God's grace, not a reward for people who have managed to make themselves worthy.

“By grace you have been saved, through faith... it is the gift of God.”

Ephesians 2:8

Following Jesus changes the direction of life.

Coming to Christ is not a promise that every problem disappears. It is the beginning of belonging to Him: learning His Word, praying, being part of His Church, turning from sin, loving others and trusting Him through suffering as well as joy.

If you are searching: you do not need impressive words. Come to God honestly. Ask Him for mercy, place your trust in Christ, and begin learning who Jesus is through Scripture.
